Manchester United interested in Milan defender Fikayo Tomori

Milan defender Fikayo Tomori was one of the standout performers for the Scudetto-winning Rossoneri side last summer.

According to Corriere della Sera, Manchester United have expressed interest in the former Chelsea centre-back Fikayo Tomori.

The report understands that the Rossoneri management intends to extend the player’s contract until June 2027. The Englishman’s current contract at the Italian club runs out in June 2025. But Milan want to give him a raise in his salary and also extend his stay at the club.

As per various reports, Manchester United are on the hunt for a centre-back this summer. Their list of potential targets includes the names of Jurrien Timber, Lisandro MartĂnez, Pau Torres, and many more.

Nevertheless, Tomori is not interested in returning to England this summer. Milan became the champions of Italy last season, and Tomori played a massive role in giving the club their first Scudetto since the 2010/11 season.

With Alessio Romagnoli leaving the club following the expiry of his terms, the Rossoneri have already lost a significant amount of defensive quality in the squad depth. Milan have reportedly identified Tottenham Hotspur’s Japhet Tanganga as a potential target.
