Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo’s Italy return deemed ‘impossible’

Journalist Gianluca di Marzio has revealed that it is possible that Cristiano Ronaldo returns to Italy this summer.

Ronaldo has informed United that he wants to leave the club this summer and there has been talk of interest from Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Napoli.

Gianluca di Marzio spoke to Wettfreunde recently and he revealed that it is ‘impossible’ for the Portuguese to return to Italy right now. The journalist stated that the player wants to play in the Champions League and his agent Jorge Mendes is trying to find a solution.

The journalist has ruled out Paris Saint-Germain as well and he has suggested that Barcelona will not sign him either, with Chelsea interested.

He also gave his views on whether MLS might become an option for the striker and he stated that the player will head to the United States at some point of his career:

“If Cristiano Ronaldo wants a different kind of experience, a move to MLS is also an option. I know they want Cristiano in MLS. If not this year, then probably next year. But I think that before the end of his career he will definitely go to MLS.”
