Marco Serra could be set for long suspension following errors in Milan loss

Referee Marco Serra is at a risk of a long suspension from officiating following his errors in the game involving Milan and Spezia.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that the Italian Referees’ Association have issued an apology to Milan for the errors that potentially cost them the game against Spezia, as Serra had failed to play an advantage seconds before Junior Messias had scored for the Rossoneri.

The report claims that Andrea Gervasoni and Gianluca Rocchi were present during the game and they noticed the errors made by the referee. They consider the errors to be serious in nature.

There are expected to be consequences and Serra’s suspension could last more than two game weeks. Serra is considered to be a ‘good professional’ by AIA.
