Maurizio Sarri on rumours of him leaving Lazio: “It seems like b*****t* to me…”

Maurizio Sarri lifted the lid off his future at Lazio following their 4-3 win over Spezia on Saturday.

In the post-match press conference, Sarri was asked whether he would be the manager of Lazio next season and if he was considering the offers from other European clubs amid reports of his dressing room row with the club president Claudio Lotito.

The Tuscan replied:

“From what the president said, it seems like bullshit to me, we never talked about tying the permanence to Europe or not. These are not rumors that surprise me, but we have never talked about them. We had some problems that I was hoping could be solved faster.”

The former Juventus manager had a dressing room strife with Lotito after Lazio had conceded a last-minute goal to lose the game against Milan last weekend. During the heated confrontation, Sarri reportedly told the club Chief, “This is my football. If it doesn’t suit you, take Pioli back.”
