Midtjylland’s wait for a new coach stalling Raphael Onyedika’s potential move to Milan

Milan want to reinforce their midfield before the end of the summer transfer window, with Midtjylland’s Raphael Onyedika identified as a fitting character to boost their midfield department.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, however, Milan’s potential move for Raphael Onyedika, 21, is currently stalling as the Danish club is waiting for the appointment of a new manager.

Since Bo Henriksen was relieved of his managerial duties in July, Midtjylland has been without a first-team manager. The report claims that the top-tier Danish side wants to know the plans of their next boss with Onyedika before deciding on whether to agree to Milan’s demands or not.

The Rossoneri management has asked Midtjylland to lower their asking price for the midfielder, who joined them from Nigerian club FC Ebedei in 2019. In the 2022/23 season, the player, being an integral part of the team, has already made eight appearances across all competitions. As it appears, Onyedika has four years left on his contract at Midtjylland.
