Milan add Ligue 1 star to their summer transfer shortlist

Milan want to strengthen their midfield department as they continue their attempt to fill the void caused by the imminent departure of Barcelona-bound Franck Kessié.

Journalist Antonio Vitiello reports that Milan have added Lyon star Maxence Caqueret to their transfer shortlist ahead of the summer transfer window. With the arrival of the new owners in the town, Milan will reportedly focus on improving their offensive department but will not ignore the midfield and defence as well.

It is believed that their interest in Sven Botman and Divock Origi is genuine, and there have been talks between parties to land both players at Milano this summer. But there are no such talks taking place for the signing of Caqueret at the moment, but it could intensify over time.

Investcorp, the club’s soon-to-be new owners, will reportedly allow Milan to spend around €300million on transfers in the approaching summer transfer window.
