Following a series of disappointing loan spells, Alessandro Florenzi has eventually found his home in Milan, with the Rossoneri signing the full-back on a permanent deal.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Milan have agreed to sign Alessandro Florenzi permanently from Roma. Having spent a lukewarm loan spell at Paris Saint-Germain in the 2020/21 season, Florenzi joined Milan in an attempt to revitalise his career last summer.
During the 2021/22 season, the Rome-born full-back went on to make 24 appearances in Serie A for the Rossoneri, playing somewhat an integral part in Stefano Pioli‘s team. At the end of the campaign, he became the champions of Italy, with Milan winning their first Scudetto since the 2010/11 campaign.
And now, the club has decided to sign the 31-year-old on a permanent deal. However, it is reported that Milan will pay a transfer fee lower than the €4.5million in the option-to-buy clause. Romano suggested that Florenzi had always wanted to stay in Milan following this loan spell.
