Milan close to agreeing Botman fee with Lille

Milan are now very close to agreeing a fee with Lille for Sven Botman after fresh contact was made.

Daniele Longo has reported that the Rossoneri are edging closer to sealing the deal for the Dutchman and contacts in the last few hours have produced good results.

The clubs are moving towards an agreement of €30 million euros plus bonuses to reach a maximum of €33 million. Milan are now just waiting for the mathematical guarantee of Champions League football and that will put the final details of the deal on the table. That will essentially agree everything with the player and will lead to finalising of the contracts.

It is stated that Botman had several offers on the table from English clubs but Paolo Maldini’s talks had an impact and he played a key role in the deal.

Botman has already sought information about the Milan project from his ex-Lille teammate Mike Maignan.
