Milan edging closer to Liverpool outcast as Maldini lines up Scamacca and €45m Ajax striker next

Divock Origi is set to leave Liverpool this summer, with Milan getting closer to reaching an agreement for the flamboyant dribbler.

Today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara will try to sign some young and talented Italians after the completion of the Origi deal. It is suggested that the club has been keeping a close eye on Gianluca Scamacca and Sébastien Haller.

Scamacca has recently signed a contract renewal with Sassuolo, with the new deal extending the 23-year-old’s stay to 2026. But the general feeling among the suitors is that the Noreverdi have extended the striker’s contract only to increase his valuation in the upcoming summer transfer window.

As for Haller, Ajax value him at €45million. The former West Ham United forward has a contract at the Dutch club until June 2025.
