Milan appear to be interested in signing Giacomo Raspadori from Sassuolo this summer, with the Rossoneri management eyeing to freshen up the attacking department of Stefano Pioli’s side.
According to a report from Sky Italia, Milan had a meeting with the agents of Raspadori on Wednesday. It is believed that the Rossoneri like the profile of the player and would be more than pleased to shell out a significant figure in the transfer market to acquire the services of the 22-year-old Italian.
However, Milan, as per the claim, are yet to submit a concrete bid to the Neroverdi for the player. At Sassuolo, Raspadori has a contract until June 2024. Besides Milan, Juventus have been keeping an eye on the youngster for a long time.
The meeting with the player’s agents means Rossoneri want to conclude a deal for Raspadori in the current window. A versatile figure on the pitch, the Bentivoglio-born could prove to be a decent addition to Pioli’s team.
However, when asked about the attacker’s potential transfer to Juventus in March, Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali said,
“Raspadori is going to Juventus? I don’t think so, I hope he will stay with us. Mister Dionisi remains without a shadow of a doubt, he is the only one sure to stay.
“We’ll see: we have some requests. for the players, it will not be easy to keep everyone but we want to continue the project.”
