Milan hopeful of a deal for Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech

Milan are not ready to lose hope for Chelsea attacker Hakim Ziyech, who could make an exit from Stamford Bridge this summer.

According to transfer guru Daniele Longo, Milan made new contact with Chelsea for Hakim Ziyech on Friday. The Italian side is still hopeful of completing a deal for the Morocco international.

After signing Divock Origi on a free transfer earlier this summer, Milan look to make further changes to their attacking department. As a result, they have identified the former Ajax star as an appropriate candidate to strengthen the club’s attack.

Signed from Ajax in 2020, Ziyech only earned 1,316 minutes of game time under the supervision of Thomas Tuchel last season.

Nevertheless, the 29-year-old has already made starts in both of their pre-season friendlies, somewhat signifying that the German coach still counts the player as a fundamental member of his first-team squad.

Ziyech has a contract at Chelsea until June 2025. But, as per the report, Milan remain alive and strong in their pursuit of the versatile Moroccan.
