Milan hopeful of renewing Pierre Kalulu’s contract amid interest from PSG

Milan defender Pierre Kalulu was closing in on signing a contract renewal with the Rossoneri. But with the Frenchman changing his agent, the preexisting negotiations have not come to fruition. Milan will now have to open fresh talks to reach an agreement.

Italian journalist Daniele Longo reports that Milan will re-open negotiations to reach an agreement over Kalulu’s renewal as soon as possible.

According to French sources, Paris Saint-Germain have shown interest in the former Lyon full-back. However, Milan are hopeful of striking a deal over the player’s contract extension despite the recent changes regarding his representatives.

Kalulu joined Milan in the summer of 2020, signing a five-year deal. Should the negotiations reach the finishing point, this could be the 22-year-old’s first renewal at the Italian club. In his new contract, the youngster could earn three times his current salary at the Serie A club.

When it comes to his new representatives, the defender has enrolled himself in the agency of Stellar Sports. Therefore, he will now be represented by Jonathan Barnett, who also represents Dutch full-back Sergiño Dest.
