Milan in talks to extend Olivier Giroud’s contract

Milan are now in talks to extend the contract of their French striker Olivier Giroud.

Alfredo Pedulla has reported about the situation of the striker, stating that while Giroud has a salary of €3.5 million per season currently, he has convinced everyone at Milan about his reliability. The Rossoneri are now considering handing him a contract till the summer of 2024, while adding the option for another year.

Talks between the two parties have already begun, with Milan giving serious thought to atleast keeping Giroud at the club till the summer of 2024. Ricky Massara and Paolo Maldini will soon discuss the situation of other players and their contractual situations as well.

The Frenchman has done well for Milan this season and found the back of the net against Salzburg in the Champions League recently. He scored clutch goals for the side last season, scoring against Inter and also scoring in the title deciding game against Sassuolo.
