Milan star Fikayo Tomori: “I want to renew? Yes”

Since leaving Chelsea, Fikayo Tomori has established himself as one of the fan favourites in Milan. His performances have been so impressive for the club thus far that the Rossoneri are now determined to offer him a contract renewal.

Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport (as quoted by Milannews.it), the 24-year-old expressed his willingness to extend his stay at the Italian club. He said,

“I want to renew? Yes, I like everything about Milan, even the city, the Champions League nights.

“Now, however, I’m focused on the pitch, we’ll see for things off the pitch.”

In the absence of senior players like Alessio Romagnoli and Simon Kjær, Tomori exceptionally rose to the occasion last season, steering the club towards their first Scudetto since the 2010/11 campaign.

An authoritative figure in the defence, Tomori made 31 appearances in Serie A last term and ended up being an influential figure in Milan’s title chase.

Despite the defender being bound to Rossoneri’s terms until June 2025, Milan reportedly want to prize him with a fresh contract, including a potential pay rise.
