Monza set to join Premier League club Leeds United in the race for Wilfried Gnonto

Monza are ready to enter the fray for FC Zürich youngster Wilfried Gnonto, who has reportedly attracted interest from several suitors, including Leeds United.

According to a report from Alfredo Pedulla, Leeds United have not agreed on a deal to sign Wilfried Gnonto from FC Zürich yet, with a minimum distance of €3 million plus bonuses appearing to be a stumbling block for the Premier League side.

The report claims that Leeds have submitted an offer of around €5 million, while the selling club is asking for a figure of around €8 million.

Monza have always kept an eye on the 18-year-old. Per the claims, they are active in the background, ready to join Leeds United in the race for Gnonto, who joined the Swiss club in the summer of 2020. Since moving to Zürich, the young attacker has played 71 matches, amassing 12 goals and nine assists thus far. As it stands, he has one year left on his current contract in Switzerland.
