Napoli keeping tabs on Chelsea’s Armando Broja

Napoli want to sign a striker this summer, irrespective of whether Andrea Petagna leaves the club. Chelsea’s Armando Broja has numerous suitors in the summer transfer market.

A report from Il Mattino claims that Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is keeping a keen eye on Armando Broja’s situation at Chelsea.

The 20-year-old was on loan at Southampton last season. Despite scoring just six goals from 32 appearances in the Premier League, he caught the attention of various clubs with his all-around abilities.

His towering body structure helps him dominate the aerial game. A similar player to Victor Osimhen, Broja is rated highly by the Londoners.

Napoli have been showing interest in the player for a long time. However, the player’s current contract with The Blues until June 2026 is restricting Napoli from prioritising his permanent transfer this summer.

Reports in England suggest that West Ham United are pushing for Broja’s signature. The England-born Albania international seems ready to leave Chelsea in search of some regular football ahead of the 2022/23 season.
