Napoli close to agreeing on a contract renewal for Stanislav Lobotka

Stanislav Lobotka has performed well in the midfield for Napoli as Luciano Spalletti’s side remains unbeaten across all competitions this season.

According to Italian journalist Daniele Longo, Napoli sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli is pushing the club to offer Lobotka a new deal at the club.

The Naples-based side has been in talks with the player’s entourage for several weeks as they are looking to secure a contract extension for the player, whose current terms at Napoli run out in June 2025.

It is understood that the last summit between the two parties was held in Amsterdam, where Napoli made an offer of €‎3 million per season (including bonuses) for a contract of 4/5 years.

The report suggests that the gap is minimal, and an agreement over a renewal could be reached sooner rather than later. Exploiting the positive mood around the club, the Serie A league leaders want to extend some contracts. That said, André-Frank Zambo Anguissa and Mário Rui are understandably close to extending their contract with Napoli.
