Napoli have proposed a new contract offer for defender Kalidou Koulibaly.
Corriere del Mezzogiorno have claimed that Aurelio de Laurentiis is trying to extend Koulibaly’s deal even though a previous offer of a much reduced wage was pegged back.
The club’s chairman held a face-to-face meeting with the defender recently and he proposed a new deal worth €4 million plus bonuses. The bonuses will take the package to about €4.5 million per season. In response, Koulibaly asked De Laurentiis to initiate a dialogue with his agent Fali Ramadani and a new meeting between the parties is expected soon.
There have been no offers for the centre-back yet, with Barcelona having to sort out their wage structure and finances before the end of June. The Catalans though, remain the most interested club for the Senegal international, who won the AFCON back in the 2021/22 season.
