Napoli and Lazio pondering upon a swap deal involving Piotr Zielinski and Luis Alberto

Lazio are looking interested in a swap deal involving Piotr Zielinski and Luis Alberto in the approaching summer transfer window.

Today’s edition of Il Tempo discusses a potential swap between Napoli and Lazio, with both Zielinski and Alberto playing the part of protagonists in a budding transfer saga.

The report understands that both Italian clubs are open to the idea of a swap deal excluding any transfer fee. Zielinski, as mentioned in the story, earns a gross salary of around €7million (a net of €3.5million) per season, which is considered a heavy burden on Napoli’s poverty-stricken wage bill. They want to shift that load this summer.

Lazio have arrived at the scene with a concrete interest, but they have a similar situation with Luis Alberto, who has been extensively linked with a summer move away from the Italian capital.

Lazio boss Maurizio Sarri likes Zielinski’s profile and knows the player as he has worked with the Pole at Napoli. Nevertheless, the salary demands remain an obstacle for the club hailing from Rome.

On the other hand, Luciano Spalletti will not hesitate to include Alberto in his team. The former Liverpool player will add extra value to the Naples-based side. Even though the talks have not reached an advanced stage yet, the activities regarding a swap deal could escalate over the new few weeks.
