Napoli make contact for Julian Alvarez, amidst Milan and Man Utd interest

Napoli have made contact with the entourage of Julian Alvarez, as they look to make a move for the Argentine.

La Gazzetta dello Sport report today that Alvarez’s agent Fernando Hidalgo was in Italy earlier in month and talked to both Milan and Inter about his client. But Napoli now want to replace Lorenzo Insigne and the future of Hirving Lozano is also uncertain. They got in touch with the agent of the player to know about the figures of the deal and the youngster wants to leave River Plate immediately.

Napoli want to make sure that they sign the player now and he arrives in the summer, as there is no immediate need for the forward.

Inter and Milan have been wanting to make a Lautaro Martinez-style move for the player, who would also be interested in joining Napoli because of their past that is linked with Diego Maradona. Atalanta also remain interested.

But the player’s agent has already talked to Atletico Madrid and Real Sociedad, with Manchester United interested as well.
