Serie A giants Napoli have made contact for Roma star Nicolo Zaniolo, who is said to be tempted by the idea of joining the Partenopei.
La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported about the situation of Zaniolo today, stating that Napoli have made informal contact with Claudio Vigorelli, the agent of Zaniolo. Vigorelli then passed on the information about the contact to Zanioloโs family and they didnโt seem displeased by the idea at all.
Zaniolo doesnโt seem to be worried about money and he cares more about ambition and growth currently. Napoli believe that they are in the lead for him but are keeping a safe distance, knowing that Hirving Lozanoโs situation is unresolved. Napoliโs initial target was Ola Solbakken, who has joined Roma and Zaniolo is now their main target as a replacement for Lozano.
Since Zanioloโs contract expires in 2024, his value could be at around โฌ30 million next summer but Roma are likely to hold talks over a new deal by February. This week, Vigorelli will meet Tiago Pinto and there is an intention to talk about Zaniolo and it is expected that the agent will inform Roma about interest from other clubs.
