Napoli identify Milenkovic as a replacement for Chelsea and Barcelona target Koulibaly

Napoli are reportedly preparing a departure for Kalidou Koulibaly this summer, with a plethora of clubs, including Barcelona and Chelsea, being interested in making a swoop for the experienced Senegalese.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis held talks with the agent of Nikola Milenkovic, Fali Ramadani, to discuss a potential move for the defender.

The report understands that Kalidou Koulibaly, linked with multiple clubs across Europe, is closing in on parting ways with his employers in Naples this summer.

Napoli see Milenkovic as a suitable substitute for Koulibaly. Inter have also shown interest in the Serbia international, but there is no agreement between the Nerazzurri and Fiorentina for the Serb.

Owing to financial restrictions, Inter are currently unable to make an offer for the defender, which has resulted in a deadlock in the proceedings.

It will be interesting to see whether they return to offering a deal for Milenkovic after selling Milan Skriniar, who is thought to be a summer transfer target for Paris Saint-Germain.
