Napoli considering a move for Granada’s Luís Maximiano

Cash-strapped nowadays, Napoli are finding it difficult to build a formidable team for the next season. The list of targets includes Granada’s Luís Maximiano.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Napoli are considering making a move for Luís Maximiano. Considering that Maximiano, formally at Sporting CP, experienced relegation with Granada in La Liga at the end of the 2021/22 season, it is understood that he is available for a reasonable price this summer.

With David Ospina closing in on leaving Napoli following the expiration of his contract with the Partenopei, Napoli are currently scanning the market with an intention to land a replacement for the Colombian.

For Maximiano, Napoli reportedly intend to complete a loan deal with redemption. Though, it depends on the farewell of Kalidou Koulibaly and the defensive situation at the club.

At the start of the year, the Portuguese custodian had a release clause of around €25 million, which has now halved due to the fact that Granada got relegated from the top tier of Spanish football.

Napoli are willing to offer a loan plus an obligation to buy worth €10 million for the 23-year-old goalkeeper. The same report claims that Alex Meret is on the verge of signing a renewal until June 2027 at Napoli. On the other hand, David Ospina is close to accepting the offer of Al-Nassr.
