Napoli convinced about position on Victor Osimhen despite interest from Man Utd and Arsenal

Napoli believe that they are currently in a position of strength in their attempts to keep Victor Osimhen at the club.

La Repubblica‘s Naples edition carries a long piece on the situation of Osimhen and how he could potentially replicate Diego Maradona’s exploits at Napoli. The piece goes on to talk about the Nigerian’s future at the Partenopei, amidst links with a host of clubs abroad.

It claims that Aurelio de Laurentiis wants a fee of €100 million to sell the ex-Lille man and both United and Arsenal like him, with the Red Devils front runners in the chase currently. But Napoli’s asking price has scared United and their attempts, claims the piece.

As a result, Napoli believe that they are in a position of strength and even if a club meets the asking price, they would rebuild their squad and improve. It has been previously reported that even Newcastle Utd have come forward for the Nigerian.
