Napoli need a replacement for Kalidou Koulibaly, who has reportedly agreed to join Premier League club Chelsea on a five-year deal.
According to transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio, Fenerbahçe defender Kim Min-jae remains Napoli’s first-choice transfer option to replace Kalidou Koulibaly.
The Italian club has been keeping tabs on the South Korean defender for a long time and sees him as a suitable replacement for Koulibaly.
Lazio star Francesco Acerbi has been recently linked with a move to Napoli. But neither he nor Manchester United’s Eric Bailly appears to be the priorities for the Naples-based side at the moment.
Napoli have reportedly signed Leo Skiri Østigård from Brighton and Hove Albion. But the departure of the Senegalese has resulted in the Italian club initiating a hunt for his replacement. As suggested by Di Marzio, Kim Min-jae could well be that replacement for the Serie A side.
A regular in Türkiye, Min-jae made 31 league appearances for Fenerbahçe last season. Donning no. 3 for them, the defender has a contract at the Turkish club until June 2025.
