Milan and Chelsea midfielder Tiémoué Bakayoko is the subject of interest from Premier League side Newcastle United.
The Frenchman had initially joined Milan from Chelsea on a two-year loan deal last summer. He has failed to make a mark in his second stint at the Rossoneri, who are looking for ways to move him on.
Daniele Longo has now reported that while Serie A side Monza and Nottingham Forest are interested in Bakayoko, Newcastle United have also entered the race for the midfielder and the Magpies hold a strong interest in the ex-Monaco player as well.
Newcastle are looking for an experienced midfield option and they believe that Bakayoko could be that signing this summer. Milan want to end his loan deal one year in advance, with both Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara sharing that belief. Only Chelsea’s approval is needed regarding that.
The 28-year-old has been on the bench for the Rossoneri in Serie A this season, having played less than 500 minutes last season.
