Atalanta are searching for options capable of replacing Robin Gosens, who joined Inter last January. Arsenal’s Nuno Tavares interest La Dea.
According to the Bergamo edition of Corriere della Sera, Atalanta have been monitoring Arsenal’s Nuno Tavares for some time now. They want to sign a replacement for Gosens, who joined Inter with an obligation to buy in the last winter transfer window.
An obligation to buy means there is no likelihood of La Dea getting their hands on the German once again, suggesting that there must be a new acquisition. Last summer, Tavares joined the Gunners from Benfica in a deal worth around ÂŁ8million.
Although he was initially signed as a deputy for Kieran Tierney, an injury to the Scot saw the Portuguese full-back making 22 appearances in the Premier League. Another outlet in L’Eco di Bergamo has recently linked Tavares with a summer move to the Italian city.
The general feeling indicates that a summer swoop is possible. However, the saga is seemingly at an early stage but could soon intensify if Arsenal wish to sell the 22-year-old youngster.
