OFFICIAL | Milan sign Aster Vranckx from Wolfsburg

Serie A Champions Milan have now sealed the signing of Wolfsburg midfielder Aster Vranckx.

The Rossoneri tried to sign a host of midfielders this summer but faced disappointment in a lot of tracks. Renato Sanches joined Paris Saint-Germain from Lille and a move for Jean Onana couldn’t work out either. Raphael Onyedika from Midtjylland was also a target but bids were rejected.

Stefano Pioli’s side and Serie A have now confirmed that Vranckx has now joined the Rossoneri from Wolfsburg and the Belgian has arrived on an initial loan deal, with Milan having the option to sign him next summer.

Vranckx is said to be a replacement for Tiemoue Bakayoko, whose loan deal with Milan is expected to be terminated soon. While he is expected to go back to Chelsea, the Frenchman has been linked with both Monza and English side Newcastle United. He endured a disappointing return to Milan and had initially arrived on a two-year loan.
