Milan have now sealed the signing of Barcelona full-back Sergino Dest from Barcelona.
Manchester United had drawn links with a move for Dest but the move didn’t proceed, as the Red Devils were waiting to initially move out Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who had drawn links with other English sides and Barcelona themselves.
Milan have now confirmed that Dest has arrived on an initial loan deal from Barcelona, but the Rossoneri have the option to sign the right-back permanently next summer.
The move comes after Milan were looking to sign a right-back following the injury picked up by Alessandro Florenzi during the recent goalless draw against Sassuolo. Davide Zappacosta was also linked with the Rossoneri but it looks like Dest will be a right-back option alongside Davide Calabria till the time Florenzi returns.
The 21-year-old had joined Barccelona from Ajax and he played 21 league games last season, picking up three assists for the Catalans.
