Pablo Marì to be out for three months after stabbing incident

The surgery undergone by Monza defender Pablo Marì after Thursday night’ stabbing incident has been a success.

La Gazzetta dello Sport report that he could return to the field in three months. Marì had an operation at the Niguarda Hospital in Milan this morning to repair injured muscle tissues. The Spanish defender sustained the injuries after he was stabbed at a Carrefour in Assago, close to Milan, yesterday. Monza have confirmed that the surgery went well and also added that a hospital stay of two or three days is expected for Marì.

The Arsenal loanee has been regular starter for the Monza defence since joining in August, with already seven appearances for the Biancorossi to his name. Marì also scored his first goal for Monza in their 2-0 win over Spezia. Palladino’s men will surely miss the Spanish defender in their last few matches before the World Cup break.
