Paul Pogba enters the final phase of his recovery ahead of World Cup

Paul Pogba has not played a competitive game since moving to Juventus from Manchester United in the last summer transfer window due to his knee injury that required an operation last September.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Pogba is ready to enter the final phase of his rehabilitation. If the Frenchman continues to make improvements as planned, he will gradually join the group training at the beginning of the week.

As mentioned before, Juventus have missed Pogba since the start of the 2022/23 season. His only appearance for the Old Lady was a 46-minute cameo against Chivas in a pre-season friendly. After that, he felt pain in his right knee while doing a group exercise in Los Angles.

Subsequent examinations revealed that the 2018 World Cup winner with France suffered a lesion to the lateral meniscus in his right knee.

Although the former Man United man was initially reluctant to go under the knife, he took the risk with the aim to recover before the World Cup. As It seems, his recovery has gone well so far. And the 29-year-old midfielder could make the comeback in time to prove himself fit for the upcoming World Cup in Qatar.
