Paulo Dybala’s impact at Roma highlighted by vital stat

Roma missed the service of Paulo Dybala in their 1-0 defeat to Napoli at the weekend in what was another glaring instance of the Giallorossi’s struggles without the Argentinian’s outstanding creativity.

La Repubblica report that Roma have registered only two shots on target on average and have netted only twice across all competitions since Dybala sustained a hamstring Injury in the Serie A fixture against Lecce a fortnight ago.

Since joining Roma after Juventus on a free transfer, La Joya has been productive for Jose Mourinho’s side. Apart from racking up seven goals and two assists in 11 matches across all competitions, the 28-year-old Argentine (as per FBref) has recorded five shot-creating actions per 90 minutes in Serie A.

After scoring a decisive penalty in Roma’s 2-1 win over Lecce, Dybala felt pain in his hamstring and had to be subbed off the field due to an apparent hamstring issue.

Since his injury, Roma have played three games in all competitions. They have lost once, drawn once, and won once, having scored only one goal each in the first two games. It was previously expected that Mourinho’s side would struggle without Dybala, but the real-life experience appears to be far more daunting for the Giallorossi enthusiasts.
