PSG defender Abdou Diallo linked with a move to Roma

Roma eye a transfer for Paris Saint-Germain defender Abdou Diallo during the dying days of the 2022 summer transfer window.

According to Il Messaggero (via Roma Press), Roma are lining up a late transfer for Abdou Diallo, who joined PSG from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2019.

Roma manager Jose Mourinho likes the playerโ€™s profile. And it is understood that the Giallorossi would be interested in signing him on a loan deal plus an option to buy (depending on his number of appearances and quality of performances).

The report claims that PSGโ€™s newly-hired manager Christophe Galtier doesnโ€™t see the 26-year-old as part of plans in the French capital. Per the claims, Roma are considered a โ€œstrong favouriteโ€ for the versatile defender.

Since joining PSG, the Senegalese centre-back, who can play as a defensive midfielder as well as a full-back, has made 75 appearances for the Ligue 1 champions across all competitions. At the French club, Diallo has a contract until June 2024.
