Roma and Arsenal are now coming closer to an agreement for a deal involving Ainsley Maitland-Niles.
Gianluca di Marzio has reported that the deal is now close because of a change in the sort of move it will be. Initially, the clubs were talking for an initial loan with an option to buy in the summer. But they are now talking about a dry loan without an option or obligation to buy – at least for now.
Roma had given an ultimatum to Arsenal yesterday and because of that, the basis of the deal has changed. This is expected to speed up the transfer and clubs could discuss an option or obligation to buy at a later time before the summer.
Roma are willing to increase the loan fee and that could please Arsenal.
