Roma are interested in handing a new contract to Jose Mourinho and talks have been held regarding the same already.
La Repubblica have reported that Mourinho has conquered the hearts and minds of Roma players, with the club now seriously considering a renewal for the Portuguese.
While negotiations are complex, first talks have been held between the two parties already. The negotiations have been described as ‘complex’ because the manager is in no hurry to renew because the current deal expires in the summer of 2024, plus the fact that his contract demand stands at an expensive €8 million per season.
Roma want to extend his deal till the summer of 2026 since other clubs have shown an interest in the ex-Tottenham and Manchester United manager. It is stated that when club football stops for the FIFA World Cup, the Friedkins could go further for the renewal.
