Roma make contact for Manchester United’s Eric Bailly

Roma are interested in signing Manchester United’s Eric Bailly and they have made contact for the Ivorian defender.

Bailly has been previously linked with moves to Milan and even Napoli recently but no move to Serie A has materialised for the ex-Villarreal player.

Gianluca di Marzio has now reported that Roma have contacted United for a move regarding Bailly, apart from having held interest in Borussia Dortmund’s Dan-Axel Zagadou as well. While Milan did make contact for Bailly recently, Roma seem more convinced about signing him currently.

United, as things stand, are considering whether to let the player go away on a loan deal or not. He is still behind Victor Lindelof and Eric Bailly in the pecking order, with United also having signed Lisandro Martinez. But Bailly still has two years left on his current deal at United.

The Ivorian was Jose Mourinho’s first signing at United and they could reunite in Italy now.
