Roma need to sell players before moving for Andrea Belotti

Andrea Belotti has not resolved his future yet, currently awaiting offers from top Italian clubs. Jose Mourinho’s Roma remain interested in his services.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Forza Roma), Roma need to offload some of their players before considering a summer transfer for Andrea Belotti.

Since leaving Torino as a free agent earlier in the summer, the Italy international has not managed to find a new club.

Major League Soccer side Toronto FC were keen on signing the player some time ago, but Belotti has always insisted on staying in Italy.

Roma’s general manager Tiago Pinto would like to sanction the sales of Eldor Shomurodov, Nicolo Zaniolo, and Stephan El Shaarawy before pursuing other targets in the summer transfer market.

The idea of the Giallorossi management is to bring in an astute backup for Tammy Abraham this summer.

While the report suggests that Juventus could return with their interest in Zaniolo, El Shaarawy allures Atalanta. Meanwhile, Mario Pašalić, Aleksei Miranchuk and Luis Muriel are all interested in a summer move to Rome.
