Roma set to sign Paris Saint-Germain’s Georginio Wijnaldum on a loan deal

Georginio Wijnaldum’s initial loan move to Roma from Paris Saint-Germain is set to go through.

Gianluca di Marzio has reported that Wijnaldum will soon be on a flight and he will land in the Italian capital soon. The move is now done and the white smoke arrived in the last few hours, after weeks of negotiations between the two clubs.

He will arrive in Rome in the late afternoon and he will immediately undergo a medical. After that, he will go to Trigoria to sign a contract with Roma and meet Jose Mourinho.

He is arriving at the Giallorossi on an initial loan deal with the option to buy set at €8 million. Roma will pay 50 percent of his wages, with his previous contract at PSG paying him €7 million plus bonuses of €3 million. Roma will therefore pay €5 million per season for the Dutchman.

The private jet has already picked up the midfielder’s family from Rotterdam and is now heading to Paris to pick up Wijnaldum himself. It will then head to Italy and land at around 5:30pm.
