Roma are set to go back in to sign Arsenal manager Granit Xhaka in the summer.
La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that while Jose Mourinho will be happy with signing only Sergio Oliviera and Ainsley Maitland-Niles in the January transfer window, he wants another midfielder in the summer.
He was the first name on Mourinho’s shortlist, when he first step foot in Rome but the move didn’t materialise last summer. Arsenal didn’t give any economic discounts last summer but Mourinho hasn’t given up on the hope.
As for Sergio Oliviera, his signing is expected to be completed in the next couple of days. He will arrive at the club from the Italian capital for an initial loan of €1 million and Roma will have the option to sign him permanently for €13.5 million.
