Roma’s Zaniolo back on Juventus’ summer shortlist

Roma’s Nicolo Zaniolo could become a summer target for Juventus in the event of Paulo Dybala’s exit.

Marco Conterio has reported that in the beginning of January, Roma’s Tiago Pinto met the agent of Zaniolo to discuss a potential renewal for the Italian. Negotiations will be back in February but Roma knew that giving him a new deal would only delay his sale and not prevent it.

It is stated that Fabio Paratici had Zaniolo on his wanted players list but he is still one of the options at the Bianconeri, even though Paratici is at Tottenham.

A lot of it depends on Dybala and his stalled contract negotiation. If Juve don’t manage to hand him the deal, Zaniolo will be a prime candidate for a target. They don’t want to be caugh unprepared in the event of La Joya’s exit and they know that the negotiation for the player won’t be easy at all.

Even though there is a while to go for the summer, this is a track worth keeping an eye on.
