Sassuolo rebuff Roma’s offer for Davide Frattesi amid interest from Inter

David Frattesi has emerged as a standout performer for Sassuolo, grabbing the attention of numerous admirers, including Jose Mourinho’s Roma.

According to a report from La Repubblica, Sassuolo have rejected Roma’s offer of around €15million for Frattesi. It is understood that this was Roma’s first attempt to sign the midfield sensation. Jose Mourinho’s side has been keeping tabs on the 22-year-old for a long time.

However, the offer of €15million is considered too low by the Neroverdi management, who is awaiting a raise from Inter, another interested party in the transfer pursuit.

Born in Rome, Frattesi joined the Roma academy in his childhood but soon moved to Sassuolo, for whom he made his senior debut in December 2017. Since then, he has been to Ascoli, Empoli, and Monza on loan spells.

The 2021/22 season was a revelation for the youngster, who racked up four goals and four assists from 36 games in Serie A. Although The player has a contract at Sassuolo until June 2026, they are open to listening to offers from Italian clubs as well as from abroad.
