Sassuolo CEO on PSG’s chase of Gianluca Scamacca: “He is an interesting player for many clubs.”

Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali has stated that he met with Paris Saint-Germain after the Champions League final and many clubs are interested in Gianluca Scamacca.

PSG, in recent days, have held talks for a move for Scamacca but they are yet to agree a fee with the Neroverdi for the Italian striker. But talks are said to be continuing for the move.

Carnevali was asked about PSG’s interest in Scamacca and he told Gianluca di Marzio: “A meeting with PSG for Scamacca? Luis Campos is a friend, we also met at the Champions League final. There was talk of more players, but certainly Scamacca was the subject of the conversation. I think he is an interesting player for many clubs.”

Arsenal have previously had a bid rejected for the Italy international as Sassuolo currently want a fee of €50 million to sell their asset. PSG have not gone beyond an offer of €35 million so far, with discussions ongoing.
