Serie A outfit Salernitana have sealed the signing Mexico goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa, who impressed in the FIFA World Cup once again.
Ochoa saved a Robert Lewandowski penalty for Mexico against Poland in the group stages of the tournament and carried forward his legacy of being an excellent shot-stopper.
Gianluca di Marzio has reported that Salernitana have closed the signing of the goalkeeper, who will now join the club in the January transfer window. His contract with Club America ends on the 31st of December and he will sign a deal at Salerno till the summer of 2023.
He will arrive in Italy on the 22nd of December and negotiations between the two parties concluded in 36 hours. The parties were working on an agreement from Monday and the deal closed on Tuesday afternoon.
Ochoa has been at Club America since 2019 and in Europe, he has played for Ajaccio, Malaga and Granada so far.
