Sinisa Mihajlovic holds talks with Marko Arnautovic amidst Manchester United offer

Bologna manager Sinisa Mihajlovic has now held talks with Marko Arnautovic to convince the player to stay at the club.

It was reported yesterday that Bologna had rejected United’s offer for the Austrian and they do not want to deprive themselves of the striker.

Il Resto del Carlino have provided an update on the situation, claiming that many at Casteldebole believe that it will be ‘dangerous’ to sell Arnautovic at this point as the start of the Rossoblu’s season is now less than a week away.

They claim that Mihajlovic recently held a conversation with Arnautovic to convince him to stay at the capital of Emilia-Romagna and it is stated that the Bologna boss’ words have weight. That is largely because the two share an excellent relationship and it remains to be seen as to how much the Austrian actually pushes for a move.

The outlet claim that while United’s initial offer was at €6 million (€3 million plus bonuses), their offer now stands at a total of €9 million (which co-relates to the information from other outlets).
