Some members of Roma squad consider Mourinho’s methods ‘outdated’

Certain players in the Roma squad reportedly consider Jose Mourinho’s methods of management to be ‘outdated’.

Il Messaggero today claim that following the Portuguese’s outburst in the dressing room following Roma’s defeat to Inter in the Coppa Italia, certain players carry a perception that Mourinho’s methods are not modern and are outdated.

Even the club’s owners – the Friedkins, are considering whether to back Mourinho in the summer transfer window or not as they have doubts whether it will be worth it, especially considering the results of the club despite the new signings made in January.

Corriere dello Sport had reported yesterday that Mourinho had blasted the Roma players after the defeat to Inter, with reports claiming that the manager had told players that are fit for Serie C if they don’t have the courage to play in big games.

Other reports have stated that next season will be make or break for Mourinho, with the Friedkins now ‘very disappointed’ with the results.
