Spurs loanee Destiny Udogie reveals why Udinese are third in Serie A

Currently third on the points table, Udinese have made a fantastic start to the Serie A 2022/23 season. On loan from Tottenham Hotspur, Destiny Udogie has revealed why the team has done so well in the league this time.

Speaking to La Repubblica, the 19-year-old credited the club’s solid structural foundation and the tendency to promote the youth for Udinese’s recent success. Udogie said:

“The club is organised, ambitious and focuses on young people. The directors told me that they have been following me since I was 15 years old. We are united. We are good together. We complete each other. We are a team.”

The Friulian side, led by Andrea Sottil, has amassed six wins from eight games in Serie A this season thus far.

En route to occupying the third spot in the league with 19 points, Udinese have beaten the Italian heavyweights such as Fiorentina, Roma, and Inter. The Udine-based club also had an inspiring game against Milan on the opening matchday of the new campaign.
