Lille defender Sven Botman has been rejecting approaches from other clubs as he has an agreement on personal terms with Milan but the French club want to sell him to England.
MilanNews have reported about the situation of Botman, claiming that Paolo Maldini is really pushing to sign Botman this summer as he rates the Dutchman highly. The player has made it clear that he wants to join Milan and he hopes to close the deal quickly.
Personal terms have been agreed for a long-time and the defender is rejecting all other approaches – including those from Newcastle United. The move is being held up by Lille, who want to sell their asset to the Premier League and that is why rumours around Tottenham and Man United have cropped up in recent days.
Despite interest from other clubs, Botman is keen on joining only Milan and despite recent resistence, the Rossoneri are continuing to work with Lille to find an agreement on transfer fees.
