The situation between Man Utd and Adrien Rabiot puts the Leandro Paredes deal at risk

Juventus have always depicted a plan to sign Leandro Paredes from Paris Saint-Germain after selling Adrien Rabiot to Manchester United.

But, according to La Stampa (via Tutto Juve), the uncertainty around Rabiot’s anticipated transfer to Manchester United has put Leandro Paredes’ potential transfer to Juventus at risk.

The report understands that the negotiations between the mother-agent of the midfielder, Veronique, and the representatives of the Premier League club have reportedly suffered a “sudden slowdown”.

While the sources from the player’s end insist that he has thought about accepting the English club as his next destination, sources in England suggest that the “obscene” demands of Veronique for his son’s personal terms have ended up jeopardizing his move to the 20-time English champions.

Should Juve fail to sell Rabiot this summer, signing Paredes in the same window would be complicated for the Old Lady as they wished to sign the Argentinian with the funds received from the sale of the 27-year-old midfield maestro. That said, the Frenchman has one year left on his current contract at the Piedmontese club.
