Tottenham expected to meet Roma for Nicolo Zaniolo next week

Tottenham Hotspur are set to have a meeting with Roma over a move for Nicolo Zaniolo next week.

La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported about the situation of Zaniolo today, claiming that Spurs indeed want the Italy international and their move depends on the budget left with them towards the end of the window. Antonio Conte is said to have a huge liking for Zaniolo and during Spurs’ friendly with Roma recently, a lot of players from the English side did have a chat with the Italian about coming to Tottenham.

The report states that Roma could sell the player in the event that an offer of around €50 million comes in, but it depends on how Spurs reach that valuation. The Lilywhites want to include players in the deal and they could possibly be Japhet Tanganga, Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso. But any midfield arrivals for Roma depend on the exits of the likes of Jordan Veretout and Gonzalo Villar.

A meeting between the two clubs is imminent and could take place next week. And if Spurs do not find an agreement for Zaniolo, Roma’s priority would be to hand him a new deal.
