Tottenham Hotspur set to sign Dejan Kulusevski on a permanent deal

Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur signed Dejan Kulusevski from Juventus on an 18-month loan deal in the January transfer window of 2022.

According to transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano, Spurs have decided to sign Dejan Kulusevski on a permanent deal at the end of the 2022/23 season.

The Swede’s contract at the English club has an obligation to buy worth €35 million, which will be activated if the 22-year-old plays 45 minutes of football for 20 games in the Premier League and the North London club qualifies for the Champions League.

Nevertheless, if Antonio Conte’s side doesn’t manage to meet those conditions, they will only have an option to buy. Since joining the English club, Kulusevski has showcased exceptional form, having racked up six goals and 11 assists from 29 games in all competitions.

Speaking in an interview, Kulusevski recently admitted that he was not happy at Juventus, while he did not hesitate to heap praise on Conte as the former Atalanta man was quoted as saying:

“I have never met in my life, even outside of football, a motivated person like Antonio Conte.”
